Ha I wish I had time. July killed me at work, I am glad to say. Came back from vacation end of June and been running ever since. Shot with my BIG camera on vacation but also used the Ep2 with the 17mm. Really enjoyed it. Hopefully Sept will slow down so I can shoot more.
Yes I know I should be more active ::)

People is away for vacations!  :D

We got mice weather and time to photograph, so it is absolutely normal that the forum gets quiet in summer. Wait for september and activity will rise up, you will see  ;)

Our family went to an 1836 period town Park and spent the day... took 53 video clips, and 202 RW2 with my G3.... Now the "Fun" begins  :o :o :o :o

I on the other hand, am able to be active on the forum but not post photos! Not until I'm done with the wedding at least. After that I owe you a bunch of stuff! April was autism month and I covered that, I still have more zoo stuff, my short stint in new York, and a couple of other versions of the darkness!
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

Really bored with Olympus's announcements.
I fear my dual M43 + Nex usage is soon to turn into just Nex usage.

The new lenses are the most exiting - both would do well on my G2 I think. But per price the 45/1.8 might be the one to get first - it should be available in two weeks from Olympus here in Denmark. And for 2299,- DKR it is not as bad as I feared.  :)

The new 45 in combination with the Pana 14 and 20 would be a nice and compact kit for traveling  :)

I usually don't have much to say that I think would be of interest, but perhaps this will be. Amid all the flurry over the past year or more as we have watched the progression of new EPs, I found myself simply unmoved because I feel so wedded to the E-P1. It's slow on the focus, low-res live view, occasionally draws a blank in the first frame after turning the camera on, all the things no one likes about it, but for me from the beginning it felt like the right fit. No doubt I will upgrade within the line eventually, but I've gotten to the point where I hardly notice the problems and just automatically find the way to get the shot. It took me a long time to switch from film, and at first it was to a D300 because finally there was a quality image I could work with. However, during my 35mm film era, I remember feeling about my 8008S the way I ultimate felt about the D300. Bulky, awkward, overly present. For film, my camera of choice became the Konica Hexar, not the RF but the original, perhaps more of a parallel to the new Fuji X100 in that it had non-interchangeable lenses. However, it felt like part of my hands from the beginning. the E-P1 is like that now. Just finished a month in Montana, and here is a shot from the weekly farmer's market in Billings. The kid in the picture is from a Hutterite Community, and his parents were in town selling produce. Love that camera.

Handcuffed to one of my edit workstations. Occasionally tinkering with the GH13 firmware hack, waiting for the AF100 to arrive.

Redecorating now I have a bit of time from work - finished the bathroom last week and almost finished the kitchen this week.
Only occasionally taking snaps and then only in the backyard between brush strokes or macros on an evening.

Also had a lot of problems with the forum software last time I dropped by and posting took for ever.....seems to be OK now (fingers crossed)
Some of my snaps are on Flickr

Why not more time on e-p1.net?

1. Vacation to Italy recently
2. Took 3 rolls with my Bessa RF while on vacation--wanting to get into b&w film developing now--been doing some surfing on this
3. The tragedy here in Norway--major bummer
4. most recently--house painting: my aching back

5. Last and not least--slow pace of Olympus announcements; what happened to E-PM1?????

I have only been a m43 user for two and a half weeks...still getting use to my brand new E-P1 with its 17mm lens and optical viewfinder and lovin' it. I know, I am about two years behind...Anyway, like everyone else, busy with life...

I've been pretty busy at work and stuck doing house maintenance stuff at home.  :(  Haven't even had a chance to log back onto E-P1.net until today. Now I'm wondering whether to blow my $$$ on a used Panasonic fisheye or save it for a new body or another one of the new lenses...

Paul, I had no choice but to post.... Cody sent 5 bikini clad Cali blondes to my house and they convinced me that I had to come back here....

It was a gruesome experience and I thank Cody deeply for it...
The X100 is the best digital camera I have ever used, bar none. I've used all the good ones and even the great one.

The Pen 3 looks ok but I have an issue with the IQ thing against the X100. I hear the new glass is supposed to be incredible. I'll give it a shot and see if I can live with it.
I made prints from the X100 and the Nex 5 with the 50mm Lux.
They were 20 x 24 B&W and 2 Color...Yuch. I was completely blown away. They looked as good if not better than stuff from my 4x5 Deardorff with the Schneider glass. I'm kinda in love with prints and so far I can't get close to that with anything in the m43 arena.
Thus the reason I left as admin at the other forum that Cody loves... he he.... I can't get over the IQ issues.
Good being around you guys again....shooter

ps... Paul, I greatly miss our conversations... your a real good guy and a better friend...
