Users Logged In Today - colors?

at the bottom of the forum home page, the 'Users Logged In Today' thing ... our screen names are a bundle of different colors, is it a random thing or is it color-coded?

Those are the membergroups (for example you are a PEN fan). With a certain amount of posts you get a new membergroup and a new color too.
