I like mirrorlessPhoto.  It's easier to type than mirrorlessPhotography for bad spellers like myself.  And it should do well with search engine indexing.

I've read that the search engines will do a better job of picking up a site and categorizing it properly if the domain name means something clear.  So, for example, fourthirdscamera.com or mirrorlesscameras.com is better than m43cam.com.

Doug

You can add metadata to any page and site Doug, you can include any Keyword(s) you want the search Spiders to find e.g. e-p1, e-p2, Olympus, Panasonic, G1, G2, GH1, mirrorless, evil cameras, etc. etc.

You can do this for the whole site or for individual pages.

Chris

Chris, I believe meta tags carry less weight with the search engine rankings, otherwise we could all put names like "Johnny Depp" or words like "sex" in the meta tags and battle it out for top ranking.

I think "EVIL43" is appealing generic mirrorless people and 4/3 devote :)

A follow-up variation to my previous suggestion: "UnSLR". It's short, catchy, appeals to people's contrarian tendencies, and pays homage to 7-Up's successful "Uncola" advertising campaign.

www.UnSLR.net

I don't know if being just another "mirrorless"  forum variant will make us stand out. I'm willing to bet most new owners don't think of themselves in the "mirrored" or "mirrorless" camp. Many "mirrorless" digicam owners have probably always been "mirrorless", having upgraded from a compact camera and thus won't know what all the fuss about mirrors is all about. People will know that they got this cool new advanced camera and that it's not an SLR...

43system.net, com, org etc are still available. Short, simple and easy to remember.

But it's not including the Four Thirds system at all.

I'm conflicted, but the stagnation of the forum that is still continuing (after 2 years) where we can't get more than 50 posts a day still is concerning me. New things are coming though that might help, but if they don't then I will have to try something else.

I sometimes post here and sometimes "over there" in mu-43.com, which recently introduced the talknex.com fork (fine with me, because I actually couldn't care less what Sony is up to). The availability of other communities targeting the same potential audience kind of dilutes the potential member-base here. That's pretty unfortunate, because I don't prefer either forum over the other.  :-\

From my end, one of the most unfortunate things is that we were first.

I think that the best name would by:

yourfourthirds.com

With that name you have the whole bunch from the Olympus E-x(xx) models to the latest Micro 4/3 systems.

Your, stands for your experience, your knowledge and your questions about this type of camera.

main gear: Canon EOS 600D, Canon 5D, Nikon D3100, Olympus E-PL1, Olympus E-520

How about:

"GF-2.net, hang on a minute the GF-3 is just out, perhaps we should call it GF-5.net to be sure"
