Hello all you lovely members out there, we are ready to embark on a very large and new project, designed to help everyone's Micro Four Thirds needs.

What we're planning on doing is creating a diverse and incredibly useful frequently asked questions section of the forum for people to visit when they are looking for questions that range from the most simple to the most complex, so we need all of you to give us some ideas for what those questions might be. We will compile a list to work from in this thread, and then tidy everything up and once its all polished, we'll have an incredibly new useful tool on the forum, that is almost entirely created by the members who make it up.

So let's hear your frequently asked questions!

Links to threads that you consider to be useful in the FAQ along with plain text questions are what we're mainly looking for.

How does M4/3 affect focal length? If a 50mm lens acts like a 100mm lens on a M4/3 camera, is that just in terms of field of view? Or does it actually act like a longer lens with regards to magnification, depth of field, compression of space, etc? I'm still not clear on that.

How to use 10x focus assist. I don't think I ever would have found that on my own if I hadn't seen a Youtube video explaining it. And with legacy lenses with extremely shallow DOF, this function is indispensable.

It acts like a 100mm, but the lens is still a 50mm.
The DOF is affected by 2 stops as far standing in the same spot, but, if you moved back to the 50mm fov, as on a FF camera, then no. A bit confusing, I agree.
So for f/8, use f/11
