When registering you'get immediate access. You should have ppl clicking a link in email first. This is asking for spam..

Nah, I've had forums before without a problem. There's the occasional spam, but the CAPTCHA level on the forum is usually good enough to block it.

Can't hurt to verify the emailadresses. But it's your choice. Running boards also..

yes i have a question,,. is it possible to add some video feature like adding youtubes and stuff?
so that we can just embed something interesting in the future.. i have no problem with the registering thingy..

The Picture Gallery doesn't seem to accept standard HTML from Flickr. Should it? As my photos are already on-line, I'd like to re-use them - complete with the Flickr stuff needed by its T&Cs....

Is it best to load small sample images with hotlinks to something bigger if necessary? I have broadband and some of the samples in Image Gallery still take an age to load... :-[

Manic: Invite them and they will come.

I'll install a mod called AEVA which allows you to post links to youtube and automatically embed videos.

the group title looks so tghtly written in such a cool font that I hesitate to suggest any changes. Don't you think, however, that "Olympus Digital PEN Community" would be sufficiently forward-looking without widening our coverage too much?

I'll look into that, I've never heard of something like that in these types of forums before, but it is a good idea.

I just noticed that my IP address was displayed in the forum. While I don't mind the administrator knowing that, I would not like that to be shown to the everyone for possible misuse.
