I don't know if this is the right thread for my question, but would it be possible to increase the recent topic list? Or maybe a button 'see last 50 recent topics' ?something like that.
That would be helpfull.

I can make it longer, but then people would see how inactive the forum is!

I understand, but you could make the list longer only for logged on users.
That would satisfy all of us, no ?

I don't think the software allows me to limit who I make it longer for. I'll consider it though.
