Remember, it will retail for $649 including the kit lens and will have a new 16 megapixel sensor.

Is anyone planning on buying it?

I sold my GH2 due to the ugly noise at low ISO, which was probably the result of packing too many megapixels onto the tiny sensor, so I'll give the G3 a pass.

Here's hoping it won't be plagued by the GH2's supply problem, and perhaps they've improved the in-camera JPEG processing? One can hope. The price is right, but I'll probably wait until some scientific reviews (dpreviews or equivalent) come in showing how the body performs as compared with my current bodies. Oh and hopefully the G3 will have better battery life too.
