I LOVE the build quality and the shutter sound of OM2n. If Oly could make such a camera with m4/3 mount, hm, I may even go back to digital  :o

I too am exited by this fairly certain rumor. I owned 3 OM's in the 80's.. OM1n-MD, OM2n-MD, OM4... I really liked the ergonomics, and even though it was a smaller SLR body, controls where well placed, and sized.

I also used the OM system for around 20 years and still have it. Great cameras and lenses for their time. Olympus already converted the form factor into digital with the smaller E-series models, so the latest news may just be a stab at nostalgia with a few tech enhancements thrown in. I hope it is more than that. For example, it's possible (not likely) that the new viewfinder could incorporate a revolutionary display interface.

I would like to see a vastly improved control system that combines the mechanical elegance of the OM with a modern interface--and I don't mean a miniaturized version of a messy computer menu like everyone has been using. Digital cameras have become so complicated to operate that the human interface has become very unfriendly. I think that is part of what drives people to want rangefinder-style bodies with simplified controls. If Olympus could crack the interface barrier then they could have a hit.

I'm sure it will have the same touch screen OLED display as the E-P3 with fancy AF tracking.  Doesn't get much easier to use than that.
