...Because those cameras use a new 16mp backlit sensor that is believed to have been created by Sony.

Does anyone know if other Olympus compact cameras use Panasonic or Sony sensors? This could be the same type of sensor that's in our next Micro Four Thirds camera!

That will become obvious when you disassemble it. Unfortunately I can't afford one only for disassembly.

i do not think a compact camera s sensor which is appx 1\6 the size of a m4\3 sensor will or can be used

That's not the point, the fact that Sony made the sensor is.
