I'm just debating wether I would buy the E-M5 with this lens for 200 euro more than body only. Right now I'm more for body only. I suppose it depends on how the sharpness turns out in SRLgear's test. Pekka Potka has already done some testing and according to his results, the sharpness is rather disappointing (see http://www.pekkapotka.com/journal/2011/12/30/olympus-mzuiko-12-50mm-f35-63-in-comparison.html).

You'll have to buy this lens in order to use the weather sealing on the camera.

I definitely hope it's not. The next one should really be a fast standard prime. Panasonic has two, they have none!
