The following patent discloses an adapter (in blue) that adds phase detection and optical viewfinder to current MicroFourThirds cameras.

The Reply's also suggest a Focal reducer (see: TOPIC: The ol' telecompressor discussion for more about what this is)

That means, you connect a 50mm f/1.4 and the Focal reducer on this mirror housing and get a 50mm FOV as on a FF SLR. but on your m4/3 instead...

It will useful I guess for longer lenses used in sports.....

It will run into the same problem Sony Alpha has with their translucent mirrors.  You will have to increase the gain on the sensor to get equivalent ISO values, which will introduce additional noise.
