The instant I find one in silver....
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

Doesn't look like that is an option.... Maybe if enough people contact the maker..?
But is very complete:
  • Optional External battery PK (Rechargeable AA's are a lot cheaper to load up on than OEM or Generic, and with a 15m Duracell charger... even better)
  • IR Remote
  • Vertical Release
  • Doesn't look cheap

Looks like a DSLR to me.  ;) Or even a Four Thirds camera.... :)

That being said, this is precisely why I prefer Olympus over Panasonic.  Since Panasonic no longer offers Four Thirds camera (which I suspect this is GH2 now the same size if not larger) this is a viable option.

Olympus still has a Four Thirds market.....

The GH2 wasn't made to be a compact m4/3, but a smaller option than a DSLR, which it is... the lenses are what make the GH2 a smaller option...
The GF series are the Pen Counterparts IMO

If the power grip had been available early this year I probably would have got it, but now I am used to swapping batteries and I don't want to compromise the size of the GH2 which fits nicely into my small packs. Also, the cable hanging out the side looks clumsy.

For those who have not handled a GH2, it is only a little bigger than the E-P1/2/3 and much smaller than the E-3/5. Considering all the external controls on the GH2, I would call it the ideal size.

E-3 & 5 being pro bodies are definitely bigger....
Now when you compare to something like the e-420, the sizes are more the same  :)

But for me personally, "hump" micro four thirds bodies simply don't appeal to me....I'll take the looks of the GX1 or E-P1/2/3  :)

Not the lenses, however. I still have an E-330 which was a nice size and had a pivoting screen.

The "look" is great until I need to look through a viewfinder to see what I am doing, to brace the camera, or for tight spots where I can't hold the camera at arm's length. I use the GH2's viewfinder much of the time, and when I opt for the LCD screen it is often rotated at an angle to improve perspective. A fixed screen such as on the E-P1/2/3 is very limiting. Mount the EVF on an E-P2/3 and it suddenly looks awkward.

I prefer looking at the E-P1 but I prefer looking through the GH2 or E-5. The power grips certainly do not improve the looks, either.  ;)

Those with larger hands will definitely welcome a larger camera.

Ah yes, the balance point between "big" DSLR and "tiny" MFT.... :D

Shoot an hour long session of vertical without a grip and you'll know why I want one so bad...

no one is wrong here, the GH2 is big for m4/3s and small in the slr world. I simply cant find the feature set of the GH2 in APS C land so I want a better grip

Kirk Tuck discovers the GH2

http://visualsciencelab.blogspot.com/2012/01/its-new-year-im-playing-with-new-camera.html

"Where the EP3 is a svelte and designed for eye appeal the GH2 is designed like a pudgy miniature DSLR. But in several compelling ways it trumps the Olympus camera for sheer usability in a commercial arena. The camera has a built in EVF that's at least as good as Olympus's VF2. That leaves the hot shoe open for flash triggers, flashes and microphone feet. A separate connector for an external stereo microphone means not having to make a choice between external microphone and EVF, as you must make when using a Pen camera."

"Many of you will profess to dislike the GH2 because it's bigger than the sexy Pens. I agree. But the Panasonic GX1 is much smaller, less expensive, and uses an even better sensor so that could also be an option."

And now it even has a power grip.  ;)

It seems like the biggest advantage of Micro Four Thirds should be the lens size, not only the camera size.
