I am getting many rumors about the upcoming new Olympus cameras. What I can tell you today is that I am sure there will be a new PEN camera in June. But there is something I didn’t figure out yet. People is sending me different specs and I do believe this may happen because there are two different PEN cameras coming? That’s FT3 only for now, but that could explain the two different sort of rumors I am receiving in those days. I will try to post some FT5 rumor as soon as possible! I ask my sources to clarify which PEN is coming when. Thanks for your help!

UPDATE: The rumors I received are about one PEN entry level camera and about a high quality PEN with built-in EVF (just like the Fuji X100).

Oh Yeah, possible X100 style OVF/EVF on both models..... I hope with a few major frames for 28, 35, 40/50, 85. that can be activated by the Lens Info contact by the zoom or prime mounted..for the RF type experience in OVF mode, or standard LV in EVF mode???
Time will tell...
Will it have the new sensor?
Will it give the G3 a run with great High ISO IQ, and just great IQ all around?
HD Video?

But it simply cannot cost more than $1200. Also, it would be nice if the software allowed to manually enter lens EXIF for manual lenses.

My rigs:

Leica M8 + 40mm 1.4 Nokton
OMD- E-M5 + Olympus 45mm 1.8
E-P1 + Panasonic 20mm 1.7

Other lenses: Olympus E-P1 Kit, Olympus 12-50 weather sealed, Panasonic 45-200, OM 28mm 2.8, OM 50mm 2.8

I think the high end will have the new sensor, but I also hope the low end better not have the same sensor as the other pens. I also think it'll equal or beat the g3 in iq. However I don't think it'll have the ovf so many want.

A lot can be done with an overlay in the EVF... I guess I will have to wait till June, and see which way I may go with a G1 upgrade.

I really hope it's not $1200. Olympus really needs to learn from its poor sales figures.

I am hoping the Pen E-P3 will be available for a play at the Sydney PMA on 24-26 June.

That would be good at the PMA... DPR has a pretty good coverage on new product sneek peeks and previews.

I am ready for a major upgrade.... The GH2 would work for me also... but, I want to see the new stuff, and see if it is "That" much better.. But a "Semi-Pro" intrigues me, and I hope it a much better build and has longer run shutter.

I am not sure that the Sydney show gets much in the way of coverage at DPR. They are more likely to pick up from the product announcements in the US or Europe.

I got a good laugh from this on "43 Rumors":

"The price (E-P2) has fallen a lot and it’s now pretty close to the E-PL2."

Clicking their supplied link for Amazon.ca still shows the E-P2 body only at over $900! That compared to $599 for an E-PL2 with kit zoom. But the price will come down inevitably. I don't know why the E-P2 prices have remained so stubbornly high.
EM-5, E-P1, FL-14, FL-36R, Rokinon 7.5mm, Panasonic 14mm and 20mm, Olympus 12-50mm, 45mm, 9-18mm, and 14-150mm

You'd have thought with the global economy prices would have evened out a little but no. Is 43 Rumours based in Europe perhaps?

Somebody posted a link the other day showing that in the Netherlands a black EP2 + 14-42 kit lens is 398 euros (around $600 US). The same shop has the E-PL2 + 14-42mm for the same price. For some reason they sell the E-P2 body only for 589 Euros. Can't get my head around that kind of pricing which I've seen all over the place recently.

"Yes sir, I can sell you the camera AND the lens and that'll be 398 or I can take away the lens and charge you 200 more."

No, first it's about E-P3, not E-3, and this is an old fan concept. I remember seeing this one a year ago.

This fan concept looks damn good. It can rival the looks of the legendary E-P1.
