the busy village at night
« on: December 23, 2011, 12:16:07 AM »
Well.. its not a real village. I wanted to make it look as real as i could in terms of ambiance and mood. This is a custom 3000k white balance and a magenta/blue nudge. I placed a white fur carpet on the foreground to make it look like snow and placed 2 or 3 Christmas tree white leds on different angles for the street lamp appearance and mood. On the background I reflected blue and red christmas leds against the distant wall for the sky colors. Shot with the leica 25mm at f2 ISO 200. Im pleased, click on them

white balance and tint was done in camera, I changed the blacks from the default 5 to 9 in lightroom because I'm using the nostalgic film mode (better dynamic range). Sharpening and that's it.

Thanks all, I really do love photography and when I actually do find time for me I like to do mini projects like this around the house. Taking something simple and making it look like something more complex makes me smile :)
