First time Raw and Konica Hexanon 50mm 1.4.
« on: January 29, 2012, 11:51:19 AM »
Today I shot for the first time in RAW.
And today I shot for the first time with my Konica Hexanon 1.4.

All shots wide open, exept the last one.

Of Course I like the last 2, and the hand  ;)
Looks like a great Lens for using limited DOF. The Konica colors are always really nice and natural.

Great series here! I love the expression on the baby's face in the last photo.

I like the photo of the Buddha, and the one with the lamps.

I have two statues of Buddha myself, and I've been thinking of doing a photo with one of 'em later when my bonsai is getting healthier(I've given it too much water, poor plant).
Best wishes to you all!

how was the raw experience?
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

From now on I will always shoot raw. More detail, colors and more flexible.
I must admit it is way better:)

Converting and noise reduction can better be done in lightroom.

Only disadvantage: filesize. oh my harddisk  ???

its an eye opener for sure, dynamic range can also be stretched quite a bit. The file size is noticeable, you gotta make a habit out of deleting the non usable files and if you can get yourself an external hdd, I bought a usb 3, 3 terrabyte hdd for 99$ at office depot.
