E-P2 with Leitz 90mm Summicron f/2 APO
« on: January 07, 2010, 03:18:22 PM »
I think I am starting to forget how to autofocus, been some time since I used my m4/3 lenses, too much fun with the manual ones from my other cameras.   I am just going to leave my setting on MF mode even with my Pana m4/3 lenses, except with the UWA :P.  YMMV of course.

Daytime

Nighttime.  1/20, f/2.  In-built body IS is definitely a strong advantage

Fantastic shots. The colors and the sharpness are amazing.

I have the same lens for my E-P1 but because of its weight it's remained behind during my travels. After looking at your shots I think it's time to dust it off a bit...

Thanks, guys.

Federico, it's not too bad when used to it.  But anyway, not everyone has the same weight tolerance.  I myself can't have over 3kg in my bag.  With the big cameras, I just use a trolley.

Voyager, "have I used my E-P1 lately ?"  Well, I just can't stop using my E-P2 :-), and hope to go on a voyage one day to take even more pictures.

More men At work, same lens ...

Sannin:
#1 - I really like your shots and that lens seems great.
#2 - I understand what you are saying about using these old lenses. (I have two Olympus OM Zuikos.) And yes, you really feel that you are more involved in the photographic process - like when I started WAY back when.

Swandy, indeed.

I just mounted one of my 25mm, which as we know is 50mm on m4/3, and while fiddling with it, I just realized that zone focusing will be even easier for an equivalent 50mm in m4/3 than in full frame 35mm.  I've been to engrossed in the digital aspect I forgot all about what I usually do with my "antique"  cameras :)

Actually, I don't mind the weight of the Leica-R 90mm Summicron itself. The problem is that I also have the OM 100mm f/2 ED, which is a rather strong contender for about the same weight...

The Time is Near

The 10mm difference hasn't yet justified my bringing them both along.
