Christmas Party Snaps
« on: December 23, 2011, 05:35:40 PM »
The remote employees of the wife's employer held a Christmas Party at one of said employee's home.  Food was from Wood Ranch, a Gift exchange and Gift stealing was planned, and I brought my E-P1 with Fujian 35/1.7.  Why the Fujian with it's extreme field curvature?  Because I just wanted to have fun, be photographically playful and I needed the extra stop of light.  Here are some of the images, all shot at f/2.  ISO 800 for table images, and iso 1600 for gift choosing/stealing:

The one serious image. Note how subject placement actually fits the warped field curvature of the Fujian.

Men at Table with Women.  Post is a concoction of edits I turned into a User Preset in LR3.

Thank you.  I was not going for perfect, just trying to be a fly on the wall.

Overall these are really good, although I'd say dump the ones with a lot of motion blur in them.

This entire set is for the people at the Party, so they get motion blur and all.  I let them know how these images would most likely turn out, and they're good with it.  Besides, no one else took any snaps.

Yeah, I was shooting at 1/60th sec, f2 and iso 1600.
