Here's a question then... do you photograph with the end goal being the photo, or do you photograph for the experience of it all?

I love how much more observant of my surroundings and appreciative of the rare contrast moments in life I have become since I've started packing around my E-p1.  So I would have to say I enjoy the hobby because I'm out there watching life and enjoying being in it... and occasionally I even get to bring home a real nice reminder of where I've been.  I suppose that's the difference between hobby and job though, eh?  Add a goal and sprinkle it with money and cutthroat becomes an easier option?  A necessity at times even?  ...the root of all evil they say...

addition...
Just read this again and want to be clear, professional photography is not the villain.  But at the end of the day remember to enjoy what you're doing and try to allow others to do the same.  That's all.

If you make it about the experience, the photo will come out by itself. I think.

The villain is being inconsiderate of others and thinking that somehow having better gear makes you more important.
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

So true on both accounts...
