So, Where do these stairs lead too?
This photo reminds me of a set of stone stairs at a public park in Franklin, IN. And at the top is a large concrete slab... 100' x 100' at least, with columns, where Weddings are held.
I'll have to go out and photograph it now  :)

E-P2 - Pana 20mm/f1.7 - 1/640 - f8.0 - (A) - ISO 200

Leica D-Lux 5 - 1/1000 - 5.1mm (135=24mm)/f4.5 - ISO 80

Made a short trip by car to a nearby farming district this last Saturday noon.  My wife and I, with some visiting friends, made a stopover at the 'Silverlake' vineyard. (Yes, someone courageous, has planted out thousands of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz and are serious producing wine).  A small group of workers were busy constructing a rather large stone clad stair, all hand worked, as well as concrete walls and terraces done in the same technic.  The Thais are very clever with these kinds of work, stone & ceramic tiles work especially so.  Their wages is about US$ 300 a month, and they would put in at least 60 hrs a week.  Also they do not enjoy to work in solitude, they like being part of a team.  Very often you will see mixed gender groups doing construction work like this, women mixing the cement, carrying cement and stones around, whilst the men is chipping stones, cementing and putting it all together.

These are so cool, I like the way the stone stairs are so much a part of the whole look.

Your choice of framing bring them to the fore...
