How did you do the black background and get it to pop soooo much?

The background was already dark, so I just pushed the blacks all the way out and then used an adjustment brush to get out all of the areas that were still visible, and then raised the contrast. I do this for most of my flower photos.

REALLY LIKE THIS ONE!
A55 with the sigma 50mm macro at f2.8, ISO 800  I think at 1:1. -10 clarity in lightroom and high pass filter on selected areas in cs4

I took this one with OLy E-P1 and the 14-42mm @42mm f/11, ISO 200 at minimun focusing distance MF. the background is a document folder.

There some really great macro shots here ;).

Some pictures took at Cragside's formal garden as not quite spring yet not many flowers out but had some nice blossom trees in the greenhouse...

A great set, Jon!  #2 / #5 are awesome.  The Canon FD 50mm & Raynox 250 seems to be a great combination.  Appreciated!
