No violence. The colour of blood scares me.   ;)

Number three does it for me.  I had to look twice to see what was going on.  I liked that.

Thanks guys!  I know this is a little off but while thinking about places around here in Newport, DE to shoot for this topic I thought of this.  Yesterday I visited the old GM plant that is shut and shot the water tower... today we visit a symbolic old Ford!  Slightly off, but certainly decaying in an industrial town!  A real shame too!

I could see these guys working this morning from our office window - we had some rare sunlight and I almost downed tools to get out there.

By lunchtime the sky had closed up and the grey cloak had descended, so not really optimal. They are hoisting in the floor reinforcement mats.

A great idea Voyager - you want to start it or shall I?

In the meantime a shot of some light industry units taken yesterday with my Jupiter 8 fitted. The Jupiter has it's own colour bias that I actually like in this case (also accentuated slightly with PSE)

We used to have a pretty hefty industrial base making power turbines and cranes but this has almost completely evaporated over the last fifty years. What remains is very small fry by comparison

Located on the Reading Railroad line to Philadelphia, Linfield was the industrial hub of Limerick Township into the 1960s. Kinseys Distillery, Sanitary Corporation of America and Trinley Mill provided the industrial base for the area.  The Linfield Industrial Park has been abandoned for over 20 years and consists of about 20 abandoned 3 story buildings.  In October, 2007, the Limerick Township Board of Supervisors announced it is considering a plan to develop an energy generation plant on the site of the former Linfield Industrial Park.

Over the last few weeks I have been very interested in abandoned places.  It all started at that Fricks Lock and then I have realized and found more within 30 minutes or so.  I have just a few more I'll post after I hit them.  It has been a lot of fun even if I have been trespassing etc.  At 28, it doesn't feel as 'safe' as it would at 15.  But, some fun images.  I wish I had time to do a bit more than quick snapshots but when you are in strange, abandoned places, there is a certain kind of time pressure!  Im
also happy my current obsession coincides with this thread!

Great places and images!  Wish I could visit them!
