The Russian RF are pretty cheap, and built fairly well, The Zorki 1 is a classic, as is the Zorki 4 (with a 1:1 VF) as the MIR, but has a 1/1000 and Slow Speed dial. The Zorki 4's or any RF with a slow speed dial had design issues though.

It can a fun alternative with film.

Not counting the 5Mp Konica-Minolta P&S that I owned about 10 years ago before I had any interest in photography, these are all the cameras I've owned, in somewhat chronological order:

D90 + 50mm f/1.8 by Paperfist, on Flickr

Lumix LX3 by Paperfist, on Flickr

Polaroid 1000 Land Camera by Paperfist, on Flickr

Trip 35 by Paperfist, on Flickr

FED 5 by Paperfist, on Flickr

Hi-Matic E by Paperfist, on Flickr

Zorki 4 + Jupiter 8 2/50 by Paperfist, on Flickr

Minolta Hi-Matic F by Paperfist, on Flickr

Twins by Paperfist, on Flickr

E-P1 New skin by Paperfist, on Flickr

Konica C35 Automatic by Paperfist, on Flickr

NCD: Olympus OM-2 by Paperfist, on Flickr

E-P3 Pimped by Paperfist, on Flickr

I've sold the D90, the LX3, the Polaroid and the FED5. I still own all the other ones, plus a Minolta 16 which I haven't used yet, and of which I have no pics.

I like the way the OM-2 looks. Hopefully the OM-D looks the same.

Have any resent photos you have taken with it?
It is so streamlined compared to some other Exakta's

The original 1Ds? That thing still probably holds up pretty well, doesn't it?

Probably the best DSLR I've ever owned.  Great film-like rendering, especially at iso 400.

This is actually an EXA 500, the little brother of the SLR pioneer the Exakta Varex. It was sold in the US as the Exakta 500 in the 60s. I have not used it in decades but I have some recent photos (about 3 years ago)  that I took with one of my big Exaktas.

The Exakta VX IIa
