Art Filter Thursdays #2 - The Pinhole Effect Filter!
« on: March 10, 2011, 06:15:42 PM »
Welcome to Art Filter Thursdays! Generally, these challenges will be posted on the first Thursday of every month, and last for the duration of that month (we'll see how active they are). The point here is to not use photos that you've already taken, but to go out and take new ones! We've started the challenge with an art filter that is available on every Olympus Micro Four Thirds camera. Occasionally prizes may be offered for these competitions, but the general idea is to get out, take some photos, and post them here!

Panasonic users - for this competition you will be using the Nostalgic color mode.

The staff will vote on the monthly winners in our secret lounge thingy.

Onward!

(oh and you can ask questions in this thread too, the tone is set to be casual)

Some shots taken at weekend on a trip to Cragside in Northumberland, didn't find much to take until we went to the formal gardens

This one had been just an experiment, but kind of like it...

That experimental shot looks like you went overboard with a polariser.  I agree, though, it's likeable. (-:

It's amazing, the different ways that this art filter can appear.  I was going for simple play of light, trying to pretend that my E-P1 was a real pinhole camera.  The effect you got with lots of light and colourful subjects was different, and striking.

I agree, you can get so many varied shots with the pinhole filter depending on light condtions. I like the heavy satuaration brings up blue skies really nicely thats why took that shot.
