Should we rename this "old family photos" to keep it as a continuing thread? Otherwise, I don't see why it needs to be in photographic themes and projects (or maybe I need to work on making a better distinction because this keeps happening with different people).

Either way, these are all so lovely!

The theme is "Italy 1984"
I can change the title...
All my Dads Travel are by Place and Year, as I get to them, I will post a few each trip.
I do have "Old Family Photos" also, That I will title separate, and since they will contain people, I will not try to bore anyone with drab photos.  ;)

Some of the Slides where just a BEAR to color correct the best I could.
I will be scanning tray 3 of 4 this next week...
My Dad shot K64 and EK200 most of the time. I am not sure on what SLR..But, A Nikon FE was owned I am pretty sure in this time frame. after the 80's, he had a Nikon F8008 AF. as his last 35mm film camera. AFAIK.

Thats funny, I was there in 84 or 85 too. Shot nothing but Kodachrome 64 but I think I also had my hasselblad with me, might have shot fujichrome 50 with that maybe even some color neg. I have boxes of them in Gepe archival glass mounts sitting on the bottom shelf of my office. Occasionally I think about trying to pick-up a good scanner just to scan all my old chromes.

My Dad shoot both, Kodachrome (Daylight/Good light), and Ecktachrome for later on in the day, or early mornings. He shoot only K/64 and E/200 AFASK,
I think he had a Nikon 8008 at the time, it was a new and 1st AF model

I have 4 more I just finished scanning.

Nikon 8008 in 1984? hmmm I don't think so. I was using Nikon F3s, I don't think Nikon had an AF model in 1984. I seem to recall getting a new F4 which was AF in maybe 89 or 90, great camera but the AF was pathetic, not much later I made the huge switch to Canon EF.

I must be the oldest fart in this forum.

1984. . .no internet, no cel phones, mullets, photolabs.

It did come on the market in the 80's, maybe later, He had a Nikon, though, Maybe an FE, he did own one, that he gave me in the 80's. So, that may be one he had before the 8008.
