I expect a good review though (from me  :D)

Funny how some other members NEVER seem to run into these reviews...or reply on these topics...

As a newer body, improvements over the GH2 are to be expected...

No...
I mean D3S...
The thread & article is titled "Why buy a DSLR when you can buy the G3?"

My answer therefore is staying on topic and I answered what DSLR I'd rather have over the  G3....

oo, ok, Id buy a D3S too if I had 5200$ (body only) lying around. If were not talking about comparable price range (which the review site obviously isnt) then ill easily take the phase one p65+ over the G3.

Price was not mentioned.
However since you're mentioning price, I'll also take D700, or Pentax K-5, or the upcoming α65 over a G3 too.

The other option is for me to "cry uncle", agree with the article, & subsequently state that the G3 rules....

Uncle!!!!
I admit my error in purchasing my useless, heavy, outdated & overpriced DSLR.....and I'm obviously an idiot for buying it in the first place...

I shall now try and find a way to get rid of it so that I can obtain the G3.......

you can keep your DSLRs, but for the price you may choose the d3100, pentax Kr, or sony a35.

I see what lisandra is saying though, because if you want to try and give an accurate comparison then you need to do apples to apples, not hand grenades. But, considering how the review states that the G3 is better than its equivalent DSLR (say the Nikon D5000), then a person would have to consider all the other differences too.

There are reasons that I don't want to give up my DSLR, despite having a PEN and loving it. In no way is it a waste of money.

Eh?
Have you missed the myriad of "demise of the DSLR" theads that are out in some form or fashion?

Especially in this forum here LoL with the most recent being "mirrorless is the future" if I remember correctly....

Dude, people can have their own opinions. Just because yours isn't the primary one shared by the members of the forum doesn't mean that you're not allowed to have it.

Looks to me like the contrary is fact now.....Based upon recent tests like this, anyone who buys a non-pro DSLR like me is plain stupid.... :o

ecxactly, the review isnt claiming the G3 is an astronomical improvement in ISO or dynamic range over DSLRs, it doesnt even mention competitors. It simply states that the G3 performs very well and has some very good features at a small package without sacrificing that much in quality.
