New NEX-5 Body for 25O euros
« on: November 08, 2011, 10:33:37 PM »
Sorry, here I go again.... ???
I was looking for a second m4/3 body.
But now I discovered that local (web)shop sells a new NEX-5 Body for 250 euros. With 2 years warranty!
Thx to Lisandra and RT_Panther I know now that NEX lenses are crap, but that the NEX could be interesting in combination with legacy glass.
So now I was thinking buying this body and use it for low light situations with my legacy lenses (Konica Hexanon, Zuiko, Nikon, ... ) .
Ofcourse my E-P1 would stay my main camera.( I have the pana20mm and just ordered the 45mm :))
Would the NEX-5 be fun with my legacy lenses ?
Big sensor, mf peaking and first class legacy lenses, must be a winner right ?
Any thoughts , experiences ?

You don't want the NEX 5. I'm pretty sure everyone else here will tell you the same thing.

Well, its hard to argue with that price... And if you get the firmware update peak focusing will own your soul forever.  On the minus side I find the accessibility of it a nightmare, even after the frimware, and like the panasonics, there's no in body IS for all that legacy glass you're planning to use...... Decisions decisions...
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...
