I just picked up a GF2 last night with firmware version 1.0. I looked on Panasonic's website and found an update available here. I downloaded it and got a .lin file. I have no clue how to install the firmware though. There's no info on Panasonic's website. I copied the .lin file to the memory card's root directory after doing a format, but I'm not sure what buttons to press to perform the update. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I searched, but nothing came up.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
There is an instruction here:

Steps 2,3 etc. seem to be available when you press the Accept button on the bottom of the page.
Information on this page seems to be a bit outdated though, so if you feel unsure, take it to the shop where you got it from or call support.

Well I looked on that site, but a) there's no firmware update for the GF2 on there b) with the camera on, I hit the playback button (green arrow), and nothing happens. It just says there's no valid images to view.

EDIT: Ok. I just looked at the firmware update page again and its for the 14-140mm lens ... My bad
