Firmware 1.2 for GF2/3, GH2, G3 + lenses listed in post

If you have any of these lenses, mount one of them for the Lens Update

8mm
14mm
14-42mm H-FS
14-42mm H-PS
45-175mm H-PS
100-300mm

  • Download to your Desktop
  • Extract file to a separate folder
  • In Camera SD Format
  • Move the SD card to your Computer reader and Copy the extracted *.bin file to the SD card
  • Put SD card in camera
  • Turn on Camera
  • Press PLAY Mode
  • YES to Upgrade Firmware
  • DO NOT TOUCH ANY BUTTONS OR ACTIVATE ANY CAMERA FUNCTION DURING UPDATE
Please do not attempt the following operations before completion
*Turning the power off and on
* Pressing any buttons
* Opening the SD memory card compartment
* Removing the SD memory card
* Removing the lens
Once the firmware update process is completed, the camera body will turn off the power and turn on again then it will be initial mode automatically.
  • Verify Firmware in the setup menu
  • Turn off camera
  • Turn on Camera
  • Format SD Card NOW
  • You are now ready to record images

I don't think so, as long as OLD 1.1 firmware lens is mounted. I think the lens firmware part has all the newer lenses coded with the one update.

I couldn't do my G3.. bad Lock/unlock on the card.. crazy?, I can write photos with the camera, but the computer can't write to the card in the reader .. WTF is that all about?
