Does anyone know a good reliable source for the new G3 under the current price of $699 at Amazon?
I have had one on backorder from Club Panasonic for 2 months now and I'm tired of no answers from them on a ship date.I can have one in two days from amazon if I pay the higher price, which I am just about to do. Any help?

Yes I am.I recently bought an Ep-1 and a GF1.Sold the GF1 and am probably going to keep the Oly because love it.However, I like to use a lot of my Nikon lenses with it and it sounds like I'll have an easier time focusing with the new body.I am sold on this small format!Haven't taken my D90 out on a date since I got the new cams.

You could always sell the lens... With Panasonic Direct (because of the Club Discount), you don't get a "Proper" Sales receipt so you can't flip it for a fast profit.

I probably will sell the kit lens as I have the 20mm plus various others to use.I don't understand about the receipt.You mean they don't give you a proof of purchase?

NO, they give a "Pre-Order" receipt that show a ship date...on line, that you can print...
You must call them and supply a snail mail address, and they will mail you a receipt.
Reason is that IF you order though their "Club Panasonic" you are buying a big discount.. They don't want that camera to be flipped quickly...

I bought my G3 off a guy who ordered 2. one from PD and from another dealer,, he called to cancel with PD, but it was already shipped, so I bought it... I asked for the receipt, and he said, I did not get one with the camera, but, on line, he had his "Pre-Order" record that showed it was shipped with the price he paid ($100 off the real retail price), He asked for one, and was told to that they would mail him one, but, not by email. So, That is the receipt I got... Strange, I know, But PD has horrible CS and record keeping.
