Panasonic's main business is not m4/3. It's not cameras at all.

Quite correct - and very true.
Bottom line appears to be that Panasonic is losing money off digital cameras and NOT their other businesses....

They don't only sell m4/3. They have lots of compact cameras. I think a 10% drop in sales with such wonderful products makes no sense. The reason could be marketing/distribution/supply chain etc.

So what should I do according to you? I don't seem to catch the reason for the winking face. What do you mean?

Whatever you want....
That being said, I am curious to know what Panasonic's biggest sellers are in terms of all the digital camera stuff....

Interesting article, but I wonder how Panasonic is doing compared to the rest of the "tier 2" camera manufacturers... (from what I gather, Panasonic's photo division is doing no better or worse than Olympus')

I'm not sure if this news is really photo division related.  I do know they are scrapping a lot of niche audio products like the Technics 1210 turn tables.  That entire manufacturing line will be cut or sold off.  I wouldn't be surprised to see their CDJ lines also cut since most DJ's are going pure notebook based DJ'ing.

Could this be nothing more than them wanting to streamline a bit?
