The Camera Finder is a marketing tool designed to get people to buy more cameras. The only thing that the GF1 being #1 means is that there has been the largest increase of GF1 photos uploaded to Flickr.

It's like a cross between a popularity contest and a fanboy-meter (but it may useful in some sort of "what's a good current camera that inspires pride-of-ownership" kind of metric)
