I thought you were referring to the legendary Tamron 28-75mm. I always wanted to get one of those.

I had a Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 AF for a Canon XTi I once owned... You won't be disappointing... It is sharp at f/2.8, but a few stops down it is stellar.

Nice lens at such a cheap price. I'm waiting for the 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 from Olympus in m43 mount. Hopefully, it will be priced similarly. My Nikon 35-70mm f2.8 was my go to lens for many years. I still have it and hate to part with it. Held up it's value quite nicely too.
