I just got banned from a local pentax forum for insistingly bashing Pentax and trolling the forum because of severe software bugs in K-r and this meaningless camera. You can't even imagine what arguments were brought up in pentax' protection...

I really don't like all "fanboys/girls"....I'd like to say that I have a more objective view (being able to see the strengths/weakness of all) since I have Sony, Nikon, Olympus, & Sigma bodies....But fans who thinks "theirs" is better than all turn me off....

No one brand is the ultimate IMHO....

a most important point! i see this forum as an oasis of camera system tolerance in a sea of  short opinions and small minds across the internet  ;D

LOL...taking your aggressions out elsewhere, eh adash?   ;)

It's funny to see the fanboy-ism everywhere. Maybe it's because Pentax users see themselves as the downtrodden underdogs, while Canon and Nikoners sit smug and confident that they are the best.

I liked Pentax at one time, the K20d was a great DSLR, What happened?
I too think the "Q" should have a 1/1.6" or even a 1/2" size sensor.  Great compact system camera idea, wrong Sensor size.

I agree. If they had used a "large" (by compact camera standards) sensor equivalent to the Canon G12 or Nikon P7000, then they could charge a couple of hundred more for the "gee whiz" factor of an ultra tiny "systems" camera.

yes a 1.6 or 1\1,7sensor like gxr modules 24-72... samsung ex-1\tl500.. canons 90\s95
would have made this killer , i will never understand camera companies ... they seem devoid of actual shooters who actually follow and use the technology available

What the heck is that !!

So will there be a Canon FD adaptor to hang the 300mm F/2.8 on. Could be very interesting to see if you could find the camera.

Worry about the image that comes out of the box, rather than the box itself

lol. funny
everyone is complaining about the price of 799
but perhaps it will be less
the 25mm1.4 pan\leica was listed at a thousand usd , but debued at 599 a 40% reduction
here in the US  ....so maybe the pentax will be more like 499
and if it bombs prices will drop and i will get one at 349-449
and i WILL adapt it to use a canon  200 2.8
it will give a fov of over 1100 mm equiv..... :o

I've heard something about shutter in the lens, so adapting anything may have no sense at all.
If they don't release something like a $399 adapter with a built-in shutter  ::)

Now that I think about,
Pentax could stand to learn a lot from the Panasonic example....especially if Olympus is leaving Panasonic sensors...

You should see the reaction on PentaxForums. Everyone thinks it's too expensive there too.
Not everyone =)

QFT

Perhaps you might like to explain what you think is the best course of action for someone who, in their own words, is "insistingly bashing Pentax and trolling the forum". Doesn't seem very adult to me. Perhaps the thread ban (which you incorrectly stated here as a forum ban) should, instead, be a forum ban - as it stands you're not really enriching the community there.

As for bugs, cameras with bugs clearly suck, regardless of brand.
