OMG, Lost in translation moment from Nikon?

"A photographer is only as good as the equipment he uses, and a good lens is essential to taking good pictures!"

I think he really means it.  Probably explains why Nikon developed the 1 system.

Fan-boys eat this S*** up like candy!

They are marketing to them, so they can sell a bunch right away. It will give the  appearance of a big hit camera and help them think they read the market correctly.   You know, they all want a pat on  the back at the next meeting.

But OTOH, it may still be a formidable camera with better than p/s IQ and a few steps away from m4/3 IQ.

Now that Olympus started the mirror-less camera market and are now very popular, we shall see many more offerings from the bigger makers.

Now, I need to pre-order so I can be great photographer also ;)

That has the sound of something written by a marketing person who's not a photographer.  I'm guessing the real photo guys inside of Nikon are cringing at that line.

Yes,
Some curiously "interesting" threads have been generated within the Nikon community due to this.... :D

I love going to promo and trade shows and start asking away technical stuff at the marketing people, they look so stupid saying what they memorized an hour ago over and over again...
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...
