Not bad (if you like ultrazooms with insane and useless zoom ratios).
The shape is not too flattering either - it screams "I wanted to buy a DSLR, but decided I can't really use one".
The X10 is a nicer camera, and something in between would be even nicer.

i hated this form factor for years , this pseudo SLR , yet since using the x 10 and seeing how much this reminds me of it  , i think for many housewives and tourists with limited budgets this could be amazing useful  excellent zoom range , 2.8 is decent at the wide end probable f 3.0 up to about "80mm"

i can tell you that the iq and iso perf of this sensor is amazing for its size , i was impressed alot ...also there is a mode that takes a medium file  size file shot at high iso [ 800- 3200] using 4 shots in quick succession , on the x 10  this at ISO 3200  look amazingly noise free, the panorama ia also light years ahead of my x 100
at x 100 wasn't too bad...  the manual control is great ...the raw is great... the dynamic range options are jaw dropping , to have these feature s in a all in one option isnt too bad imho...  also the evf they will use if its like x100 if not class leading is still very good

fuji has changed my opinion of alot of things
the x100 and x 10 are amazing machines , i almost bought a similar unit to this one from fuji for about 300 dollars recently for my wife  , but didn't when b&h hada brand new   panasonic g2 body fro 299 us funds , thats what i got her and i popped on a olympus  14-42 zoom i had lying around
[ im keeping the 14 - 45 orig panny kit for myself ;)  ]

this is not bad on paper. Insane zoom, double IS, 460k dot lcd and a GH1 vf. I imagine it must be fun using this thing for a day
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...
