filterless ricoh module
« on: December 17, 2011, 10:09:37 PM »
Ricoh is apparently gonna make a module with the super capable in low light sony 5n sensor but theylll remove the AA filter!!! So after the great 16 mp zoom module now theyll have sonys most clean sensor but without the smudginess from the aa filter and sonys over the top processing. Ricoh is kicking ass and taking names lately...

More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

yes i know , ive only had the a12 mount module [ their name for the m mount 12mp module ] for about 5 weeks... talk about fast product cycles! the a 12 has no aa filter and foes all sorts or cool things to make m lenses work better periphal  light correction  and edge color shift correction even custom exif info and 2 types of focus peaking, a greyscale one and regular edge shimmmer

i have a blast with ricoh stuff

A fast cycle indeed...
But is it a more advanced module, like more expensive and offers more "Pro" perks over the a12?
So you have a consumer and pro module to pick from?

Surprised they haven't made a Pentax module yet.

Have heard the Pentax module is in the works. Know the 2nd mirrorless is about 2 months away (not Q related). Saving my pennies might get a 3rd mirrorless and a Ricoh with modules ( have those Leica M lenses laying around).
thanks
