Panasonic had a winner in their Four Thirds L1.  Should Panasonic re-invent their L1 in a Micro Four Thirds format?

I Think the design was good, and Panasonic/Leica tried to reinvent the Classic RF look... it had a lens with an f/stop ring, and a body with a shutter speed dial.. But, it lacked a LCD Screen, it had a low MP count sensor (for a new concept camera- 8/10mp night have been better).

It could be done on a m4/3 concept this time around with a 3" LCD, OVF/EVF.

But, will they?

With Olympus about to unveil it's Classic RF look in an E-Pen body, Panasonic should be concerned. And the L1 is a great body to look as starting point IMO.

What makes you think they won't reinvent it?

I owned an L1 for about a week... Great looking camera, but terribly uncomfortable to shoot with. My hand was cramping within 20 minutes. The pen is much more comfortable to shoot with.
