I realize that the vast majority of you will NOT be getting this system - no worries, I understand you completely.

However, I'm just posting these here for informative purposes only.

First, ISO 1600 SOOC...
Vitals:
-Straight JPEG
-NO post-processing
-NO in camera adjustments from factory defaults
-In camera NR NOT used
--Shot in Aperture priority
--Picture Control Mode was "SD" (Standard)
--Active D Lighting "ON"
-Not Resized

Those are really really impressive for SOOC ISO 1600 photos....
WOW.... Looks like a winner to me...
The J1 is compact version right?
What lens, 10mm or 10-100mm,

Next year the "small" sensor ILC will be a credible alternative to crop sensor DSLRs. Thank's Nikon. The 1 is the best m43 marketing ever.

this sensor performs well at 3200 , it looks better than my e-p1, at least my memory of it

These are definitely not bad, but honestly a bit worse than I expected, especially in daylight.
