Eh, I think we have a miscommunication. I'm talking about the new Olympus 45mm f/1.8 lens that will be released on June 30th.

Yes, I know what the 43rumors post says. It will be $299 USD, I am 100% sure of this. If I am wrong, you can come back here and rub it in my face on June 30th, and I will admit that I was wrong.

Does that lens even come close to the panaleica in resolution?
The new oly will be 299 usd. Every other site says the same.

Due to the 17mm having being listed at $299 USD, I still believe the price of the 45mm is 299 Euro....

Lenstip found around 45 lpmm on the Sony at f5.6. The leica broke resolution records and the chart they had wasn't enough, they found 75 lpmm at f4. There's a lot of full frame glass that don't achieve this.

Bokeh is nice and smooth, and the center looks good for a lens that cheap! AF speeds are gonna increase in the new nex models even with alpha glass. Good find!
