A design, motivated by the retro looks and not too much by functionality. Not too disappointed yet, but not too enthusiastic either.

It looks like it is hinged behind the hot shoe.

I'll second that. Almost the same sentiment that I posted on another forum. It was something like, "Unless there are some nice surprises hidden in the design, it appears that Olympus may have used too much OM form over function". I am hopeful that Olympus will hit a home run with this one, if, for no other reason, than to keep the pipeline of new lenses flowing!  :D

Oh, I think that thing is a cover for the accessory port (to keep it weather sealed).

its beautiful and I like it in silver. Good sensor, an even better design than the pen, great functionality (it seems), better IQ, whats not to like about it? .
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

1982 Jennette, I asked a dealer who had none, if they could find one, and she said it would be under $2K, But, the reality is that even though a Retail may be in the $1.5-1.9k, nobody is spending that kind of money for it. I had on eBay for $700.00 and I had a few watchers, but no buyers. it was $1.3k back in the 80's.

It is a great looking Camera. And the leaked photo a week ago was pretty accurate!

Agreed... without a pop up flash, I bet they will include the accessory flash that comes with the e-pl3.
