I have to throw my hat in the EVF fan ring, too. I have found it to be extremely helpful and I haven't even used it with my legacy OM-1 lenses yet. Even though I have been out of the serious photography realm for a long time and had been using a nice little Canon P & S for the last few years with its crystal LCD, I find that I am back in the saddle again with the EVF. If I had to choose LCD or EVF, I would choose EVF but that is, thankfully, not a choice I had to make with this camera. I like both, but do find myself using the EVF a great deal.
I have also found that the EVF works wonderfully with my need to wear glasses w/progressive lenses. Sometime soon I'll try it out with manual.
