Sorry, got too sincere in an instant.
My mom told me to count to ten before saying anything stupid.....well, I did, and I still think this new PEN is repulsive!

It's SO ugly. I'd rather a metal body with a few extra grams than that cheap looking thing..

Nothing new reported over E-P1 to say to me I must get it. The weatherproof housing is a long term future maybe, but we're probably looking at E-PL2 or E-PL3 by then...
Cameras big and small: Sony HX9V, Olympus E-P1, Canon 300D (IR mod), 7D and many others!

Olympus is really jumping ahead of the MF3 race. But if I had a choice of just one, I prefer the e-p1. The e-pl1 would be great for my wife though.

Ugly was my initial reaction, but actually from the front both the black and silver are quite nice looking. My initial reaction was based on seeing the back of the silver version which looks a bit cheap, but it isn't really that bad, and the black version is fine. I would buy one to try if they would sell body only, but I don't need any more kit lenses.

I already have the E-P1 so I won't get it. But my wife might. She's been a bit jealous of my Pen since I got it.

I'll get it for my wife. She now thinks my Pen 1 is stupid cause it don't have a flash....
This will keep her off my camera....

I liked the idea of a 'smaller' camera, but look at a comparison of the dimensions between the e-p1 and the e-pl1.

Listed dimensions in specs (in inches):
E-P1:    4.7 x 2.8 x 1.3        (17.11 cubic inches)
E-PL1:  4.51 x 2.84 x 1.63   (20.88 cubic inches)

Suddenly the plastic E-PL1 lost it's appeal! In spite of the fantastic pop-up flash  ;D

It still does look smaller in some ways though, but I do agree it's really not that small at all.

I've my E-P1 and I'm loving it.

But the E-PL1 is probably a camera which I would recommend to friends (I couldn't recommend the E-P1 because it is so much overpriced).

Look plastic and like compact camera finishing.......Ulgy.....

If come to price point, is worth to buy.

I also might get it 1 if possible for my wife.....not me...

But end of the day....E-PL1 will also be my collection....

I will get one. Can't decide on whether to get black or the champagne colored one.

I want to get one too, considering I always use AV mode anyways and rarely change the aperture (not a big deal for me).

I think its sweet, but I see no reason to move to it from the E-P1 (no stick on viewfinder or flash required thanks)

so, while I'm very pleased to see this addition to the set ... its not for me

(but if I had to have one, or if someone was giving them away, then I'd probably have a black one)

After looking at the E-PL1 specs, I would rather get a second E-P1 body....and probably will after the next price drop.

The dedicated magnification button is great.

If only Olympus could add (firmware update) an easy to escape function to the E-P1 by half-press the shutter...
