Nice looking camera but what's that thing growing on top?
I hope my EP1 doesn't get to be like that.

I hear tell that the Pen EVF is way better than the G1.
Any truth to that?

yes i made the review on it. make it simple! YOU CAN'T SEE THE PIXEL being PIXELATED on the ep2's EVF. its smooth and clean!

gf1 look closer, youll find each pixel.. hope that explains how clear and clean the finder looks like

I'll just have to suffer with it heh. It is true, I would have preferred the silver. You can't really tell from that photo, but the E-P2 body isn't actually black, more of a dark gray. I think that it looks tacky especially with the chrome accent bits compared to the all silver E-P1.

I personally Love the black one more then any other silver one, I usually wear a black jacket. when i go around having dinner with friends and going for coffee, i really dont like something to stick out from my entire appearance.. dont wanna walking around telling everyon.. hey hey look over here its an e-p2.. just keep it normal. and if someone did see it, they know im not flashing it on purpose.

black also suits well with many other appearances. just imagine any event, bringing out a silver camera is just kind odd for me..

Just got my PEN 2 yesterday
« Reply #12 on: December 17, 2009, 02:49:47 AM »
Yesterday I received my E-P2.
Unfortunately I have had no time to play around with the camera,
but I must say now that I love the view finder.
Compared to a Digilux 2, that I had some years ago, it's an enormous improvement.
And I noticed immediately that the P-2 with my 50mm macro, focusus better in
low light situations than my E-1 (not P1)
Since I have some Zuiko lenses and since I know most of you have, I made some shots
of the camera with the lenses attached so you have an idea how that fits.

Please have a look at my website for the other shots.

Not very excellent pics, but I hope it will give you an idea.

Nice pics guys.  Anyone have the E-P2 in the popular black leatherette wrap?  Olympus had some black on black leather vintage cams that looked great.

I just covered mine yesterday and besides the look,
it gives the camera a good grip too.
I ordered the leather a couple of months ago for the P1 that I never bought,
so for the ones who wonder if the existing P1 leather fits the P2; it does
and perfectly.
Amazing how precise this wrap is made; thumbs up!

That DOES look fantastic.  It would look sweet with the Panasonic 20mm lens like mijonju's.

I think the leatherette skin looks better on the E-P2 than the E-P1.

Just two more shots with the 'silver' Voigtlander 35mm finder
that works very well with the 17mm lens.
I really like the Panda look the camera has now.

All great stuffs ...

It makes me think of EP-1/EP-2 as men's version of Barbee's.  We all enjoy the funs of dressing it up with different "leather coats" and accessories ...

The first picture of putting EP-2 with black frame glasses, iphone etc. is cool ... is this a strategy of Olympus trying to project EP-1/EP-2 as a trendy product?

The E-P2 definitely looks better with the leatherette skin on it.

'Finally got my UV filter and hood on my new 20/1.7.  I thought I'd share how my E-P2 looks all "tricked out".  As for the half case, I only use while traveling.

A new addition to my gear.
CF22 is placed in my bag for "just-in-case" situation.
Lumix 20/1.7 is the lens cap for the E-P2.
