Does anyone out there have any technical details in regard to the accessory port on the pen cameras? Ep1 epl1 ep2 etc? In particular does anyone have a Pinout of the connections in the port? Any one know what is the video format used to send the image to the vf-2 vf2 evf electronic viewfinder? What is the Pinout on the vf-2 viewfinder? Any help would be truly appreciated. Anyone know how I could find this out on my own? How to hack the pinouts? How to test what the video output is?

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

AFIK, no info is available on the pinout of the accessory port.
Hacking into it would not be easy, as it is most probably a non-standard digital bus,
so just connecting a few pins there would not make much sense without the proper bus decoder.

If you wish to access Video from the camera, for focusing on a bigger screen, for example, that might be possible with the USB on the side.
It has Audio and Video pins too (plain analogue), that can show the same info as the screen in the back does, although the video on the vf2 is a much
higher res.

Please test before you buy any expensive equipment, don't take my words for granted as I have not tested this particular feature.

For example, connect the camera to a TV with the bundled cable and see for yourself if it works exactly as you want.
