Hello,

I am trying to edit a photo in some way and transfer it back to my camera so that the camera treats the file as the original .ORF.

Anyone know how i may do this?

The easy way to do this would be to copy the edited file back into the folder of your memory card when it is connected to your computer. However, most programs (Lightroom) won't save any changes you've made in the catalog. What program do you use?

i use lightroom and photoshop but I change the extension back to .ORF it still isn't registering it as a .ORF raw and you can't save in .ORF raw that I know of so I'm stuck.

I am curious as to why you are doing this. You could also export a .jpg file and put it back on your camera.

YES i know this. that isn't what I asked I am aware that can be done but can you edit a .ORF file in say photoshop or whatever and save as .ORF?

I am not aware of any possible way of doing that with an Adobe product. This however may be different with the software from Olympus. But I don't think that you can even do that with the .DNG files that are made for the Adobe products, so I'm going to guess this isn't possible. Sorry!
