The 27-270mm equivalent lens pictured there is exactly the same price as the 28-280 lumix (749$) but despite being slower at the wide end (4.5 vs 4.0) its still manages to be longer (3.7 vs 3.31) and thicker (3.0 vs 2.76) than the lumix.

Did NIKON learn nothing from the two and something years mirroless cams have been around???

If I HAD to choose is go for the vf model. If I really had to choose I'd go for a epl/pm and the oly 14-150 and/or the panny pancake zoom...
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

They learned enough to not get involved in the megapixel race... ;)

It is interesting that they went with 10 megapixels. Then again, Micro Four Thirds stays at 12 and everyone complains...

Most of the complaints I've seen have nothing to do with the amount of megapixels....

That's true. Most have to do with the sensor not being different.

Personally,
Olympus could stand to take a cue from Nikon here.  The Nikon D3s is arguably best HI-ISO performing DSLR out on the market.  It does so by using a huge full-frame sensor but limits it to only 12mp  :)

So if Olympus for example got the GH2 sensor and kept it at 12mp, Olympus would have a wonderful camera for us all in the HI-ISO arena  :)

But alas, I'm still currently "stuck" in film land.... :D
