Welcome to the forum, Paul :)

I know one guy named Paul living somewhere near Middlesbrough :) At least he lived there last time I met him.
Best wishes to you all!

Welcome! I don't know of any quirks, it is a well liked camera, and should even come with an attachable flash!

Thats all for commenting. Unfortunatly it hasnt arrived yet. Olympus UK are moving their warehouse so there is a 10-14 day delay. Even the rep was forced into a wk off lol. Hopefully it will arrive next wk. Cheers Paul UK

I prefer my E P3 but do love my Mini, mostly because of it's size.
Once you find the Super Control Panel, it's very easy to use the menus.

The E-PM1 may well be the best mirrorless deal out there. It has most of the guts of the "flagship" E-P3, at a P&S price. When it goes on sale for $100 off, I always think long and hard whether that would suffice as a second (or maybe primary) body.

I played around with it a bit a store and my overriding impression is how tiny...and slippery...the camera was. And if you need to change settings frequently, diving through the menus all the time may drive you batty. But it has a sharper screen and far quicker AF than my E-P1...

I have this camera and I love it. I'm a noob to photography and don't know much about it but I do like taking pictures with it.

That's the whole idea...when you have a camera you like, you naturally feel like shooting with it. Your pictures probably blow away all your friends still using P&S cameras or cameraphones...

Welcome to the forum, btw! Hope you learn lots here.
