I love the E-P2 something terrible. But for some reason I find myself wanting the original, just for future safe keeping. So I can possibly one day look back and say "Yeah, the PEN was THE camera that got me into taking pics."

Admittedly I'm a collector of pretty things. Is this normal? Or do I officially have a problem?

Didn't the E-p2 get you taking pictures?? After all, that is what you bought? But if you have the money...

yeah the e-p2 got me taking pics. it's my first camera ever. Love it. I just really love the white or silver e-p1. So sexy

I have the same problem, I have both cameras but I still pick the E-P1 up to use just as often as the E-P2. I just really like the way that the E-P1 looks and feels, but also because it is smaller with no EVF and I think that the finish is more durable. And of course both cameras take identical pictures, so sometimes you just want to take the E-P1.

I really see no use for the EP-2 now that EP-L1 is out. The EP-1 is just plain better looking than even a Hermes edition Leica MP imho. The EVF mount is ghastly on the EP-2. Try selling your EP-2 without the EVF and get an EP-1 and EP-L1 instead. Or just sell the EP-2, and get the EP-1 plus new lenses before the EP-1 becomes discontinued.

What's normal?

Who knows if the Pen will be the collectable of the future. Electronic stuff is pretty fickle and isn't known for its lontivity (in an operational sense) but even iconic paperweights will still have value.

I wish I still had my Nikon F. That was a significant camera.

Go ahead and buy one on run-out from a chain store when they are cheap as chips. Buy two if you want to use it as well. Buy three if you want a white one, far fewer made so far more collectable.

Argh! Choices.
