How do I switch from One Art Filter/Scene Mode to the Next?
« on: February 04, 2010, 07:57:13 PM »
I know there has got to be a simple answer to this question, but I just cant seem to figure it out. Once I switch the mode dial to the Art Filter or Scene Mode setting and select a filter or scene mode, how do I switch to another mode? I've tried every button I can think of, I've read the manual etc.  But I just can't figure it out.  Help...

1. Use the simple menu (i.e. switch from simple menu from Super menu by pressing the "Info" button)

2. Press "OK" to bring up the simple menu

3. Up and Down arrow till you find the Art filter / Scene option

4. Left and Right arrow to choose the one you need

5. "OK" again.

P.S. I agree. It should have been more intuitive.

I always switch it from art filter to iAuto, then back to art filter, and it gives you the choices then.
It’s the only way of remembering when out and about actually taking photos, without sitting in front of the manual for an hour trying to find out if there’s any other way.

@Ian
I wonder if the manual teaches one the proper way to do that.
I got that trick by trial and error, poking here and there.  ;D

You can also use the "super menu", but it's a secret.

1. Press OK, move with the arrows to the top-left option, ISO.

2. Press up: you've now selected the art filter.  Rotate to quickly change it, or press OK and change it with the examples.

Same thing for the scenes, btw.

The manual does mention some convoluted adventure on some days, on other days, there’s no mention of it despite looking from cover to cover. But I’m the kind of photographer that takes my camera out, not the manual.
