I'm thinking of getting one as an upgrade to my used E-P1 that I bought last year. I have a Nikon DSLR system and got the pen as a more portable camera that is better than a small sensor digicam. The E-P1 jpegs with the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 are fantastic but the autofocus  performance, SLOW processing time and lack of an illuminator are my main complaints.

The only thing I'll miss is the lack of dedicated buttons but I also like the lower weight.

I played with one at a camera shop in Japan a couple of weeks ago. It feels really solid and the image quality should be on par with the E-P3. Paired with the Lumix 20/1.7, it will be a killer street shooter.

It will be interesting to see whether or not the XZ-1 is discontinued....

I got my E-PM1 today and it is awesome. With a Panasonic 14mm f/2.5 attached, it is the same size as my old LX-5! This is as close as I've ever come to my perfect compact camera especially since Olympus added official Eye Fi support from the menus. I can even use my spare E-P1 battery with it. The controls don't bother me too much and they are very customizable. I really appreciate the small size and weight.

The only thing I don't like is the lack of a grip on the body. I'll remedy that with the stick on metal bulge that is being sold online.

It really is a tiny little camera. Have you seen the optional grips that I posted a few weeks ago on the forum?

I keep looking at this camera. Also, the NEX C-3. Can’t get to a decision it seems.

take of to the lens. Are your wanted focal lenghts covered with the c3? If they are then there you go.
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

Thus far,
Most of the E-PM1 owners that I've encountered online for the most part, have nothing but positive things to say about this camera... 8)

That's great to hear. The control interface looks a bit too simple, but then again my E-P1 has a complex one and it's still impossible to figure out how to change ISO settings.
